Can anyone help me in locating in which state archives the civil records of the island Ventotene would be included? The island became part of Latina in the 1930's but before that where would they be included? I cannot find them in the Antenati website at all. The municipality of Ventotene does not reply to my inquiries. Thank you.

You would need to join, but this group has digitized and indexed civil and church records from Ventotene. See link:
https://www.procida-family.com/App_File ... ?langue=FR
I don't think that they have all the civil record completely uploaded as of yet, but if you send them an email (the president of the group is fluent in English, French and Italian), I am sure they will be helpful.

Re: Ventotene
Thank you. I have written Procida family email address you provided.
As far as the civil records for Ventotene....I did note that there are records within the State Archives of Latina for Ventotene...but only beginning in the 1930's. This is because Ventotene became part of the state of Latina at this time. They do not have earlier records. So my question is, Ventotene was part of what state before the 1930's? I cannot figure this out. If they were part of the State of Naples, their civil records somehow have not been included within that State's archives on the Antenati website. Can you provide some clarity? Thanks again.

Re: Ventotene
As of 18 March 1861 (unification of Italy) Ventotene was a part of the province of Naples. See link:http://www.elesh.it/storiacomuni/storia ... tat=059033
Littoria province was created in 1934, name changed to Latina in 1947. You can see from the link the history of the changes. So the question, why doesn't the Naples archive have the Ventotene records for the period 1809-1934? Hopefully someone knows....
