town of the mother looks like Poppano Benevento, which I cannot locate. Would this have had a name change OR be a neighborhood in city of Benevento? I appreciate your efforts. Donna

Father is from Paternopoli and mother is from Poppano, which is a frazione a mile or two west of Paternopoli.

It is currently in Avellino, but very near the province of Benevento. Perhaps there was some change in the borders or perhaps it refers to the Diocese of Benevento, of which I believe Poppano is a part of. Perhaps it was just an error.

i have learned that it is a municipality of San Mango Sul Cuore.....I am assuming that birth/death/marriage acts would be included those records on antenati....there is no Poppano on antenanti or family search catalogue. would you know?

Since Poppano is a frazione of San Mango Sul Cuore, records would be included on both Antenati and Familysearch for the town of San Mango.
