Tora vs Sora
Tora vs Sora
Greetings! Wondering about the 2 places Tora and Sora.
The relatives I am researching are from Marzano Appio. Tora is about 11 km from Marzano Appio and Sora is about 70 km from Marzano Appio.
When you look at this record it seems that Giovanni Cimino died in Marzano Appio but was born in Tora and his parents Domenico Cimino and Rosa Gizzarelli were born in Sora.
Does that make sense to you? Thank you!

I think it's Sora for all. It looks like the writer tried to correct what he had written before.

Thank you! Does it make sense that the distance is so far from Sora to where they ended up in Marzano Appio? DeMari

It seems weird to us, as we know moving around was hard at that time; indeed, people moved around more than we think. And they stayed within the same province!

Thank you! So many questions we will never get the full answers to but luckily records do help us piece some things together. Stay safe! Demari

Re: Tora vs Sora
The only CIMINO in Sora at the time of registration of the population around 1861-1865 were Giovanni di NN and Matteo di Francesco.
There was no Gizzarelli at all.
