SAPPERE, ITALY

Post by bbango »

Hello, does anyone know where SAPPERE ITALY is? I found the WW2 registration card for my great-grandfather's brother, but I always thought they were from a different town, San Pier Niceto in Sicily.

Name: Peter Micale
Birth: 13 Jan 1877 - Sappere, Italy
Residence: Elk, Pennsylvania

Thanks for the help!

Perhaps the person who took the information did not understand the accent, and he was saying San Pier......using the following database, by which you can use a partial name, hit the button "contains" ......
I found no results for Sappere......

I couldn't find it either, and that is what I thought too - the person writing the card didn't understand the town name.

Thanks for the confirmation!

San Piero Niceto could be the right birthplace! suanj
