Vermont Vital Records 1909-1997

Post by JamesBianco »

Ancestry.com has just put up Births, Marriages and Deaths taken from The Vermont State Archives for the period 1909-1997, linked to the original record image. They are complete.

Such an incredible resource, I've been using it constantly for the past two days!

James...I have to renew my ancestry.com and I was thinking of upgrading to the world deluxe but would it be worthwhile at this point if I am looking for records on Abruzzo, specifically Navelli or Civitaretenga? Are there any records on line yet for those areas?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this.

Hello Carolyn, Ancestry is adding original Italian scanned Stato Civile Records (included in that group would be births, marriages and deaths), it's focus appears to be in the far North of Italy at this point. Most of what they have up now has not been filmed by The LDS church, and are in very high quality color.

To date your area is not online.

The areas up now on site:

Como and Lecco, Lombardy, Italy, Civil Registration Records, 1866-1936
Lodi, Lombardy, Italy, Civil Registration Records, 1866-1936
Falerna, Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy, Civil Registration, 1810-1936
Alessandria and Asti, Piedmont, Italy: 1866-1938 Birth, M & Death
Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, Piedmont, Italy, Civil Registration Records
Pavia, Lombardy, Italy, Civil Registration Records, 1866-1937 (in
Siena, Tuscany, Italy: Civil Registration Records, 1866-1937 (in Italian)
Varese, Lombardy, Italy: Civil Registration, 1866-1937 (in Italian)

James, thank you for replying back so quickly. I guess I will hold off upgrading to the world deluxe for awhile. I am now in the process of looking at LDS microfilm of Navelli / Civitaretenga but it is very difficult going through the films. Plus the Center is only open a few hours a week so I can't accomplish too much. It will be nice when the vitals are on line!
Thanks again.

James, I have noticed this too. They have been helping me make some small headway with my family but I really need to get beyond 1866... I guess I'll just have to wait or pay some bucks to hire someone to do it quicker. :o)
