Potenza Church Records Research
Has anyone had experience with hiring a professional on the ground to research ecclesiastical records held by the parish? I'm considering doing this for Potenza to push beyond the civil records, and appreciate any considerations or recommendations for service providers.

Help translating birth record
I'm trying to confirm the parents of Michele Ruoti and his birth date. Am I correct that his father was Pasquale Ruoti son of Francesco? What is the wife's name? I'm unclear if I'm reading Gerarda La Russo as the wife or if that's her father (Gerardo). Born March 20, 1868? His record is on the right...

Re: Confirm Translation of Death Record
I need some help confirming the age of the deceased on another death record. This record is for Antonia Maria Ruoti (left side). Is this record telling me that she was 8 years old when she died? http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.it/v/Archivio+di+Stato+di+Potenza/Stato+civile+napoleonico/Potenza/...

Parents on Death Record?
On the death record for Carminella Di Lilla (left hand side), are her parents listed? I see her daughter Margarita, but not parents - unless I'm overlooking the information. http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.it/v/Archivio+di+Stato+di+Potenza/Stato+civile+napoleonico/Potenza/Morti/1815/007694606_...

Re: Confirm Translation of Death Record
Thanks Tessa! Pancrazio would be my 3rd great-grandfather.
I'm skeptical about her being 90 years old since she would have been about 55 when Pancrazio was born in 1839. I'm wondering if they just approximated her age to the nearest decade, figuring old is old?

Confirm Translation of Death Record
I've located a death record for a 4th great-grandmother Vincenza Mobilio widow of Rocco Vincenzo La Rocca. I'm looking for help to confirm whether my translation was accurate. https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-L949-1QV5?mode=g&i=2962&wc=M795-W29%3A392227201%2C392420201%2C392429401...

Re: Help Translating Marriage Allegati
I have been focused - this week - on establishing the pedigree since I had time off work to map everything out. But I do intend to research laterally and flesh out the family groups as time permits. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for the name as I find those records.

Re: Help Translating Marriage Allegati
Good suggestion on the white pages. I'll eyeball the record again in a bit (hopefully with some fresh eyes) and see if it looks any different to me.
