Re: D'Agord/Sebben family records Fonzaso
D'Agord and Sebben are both very common names in Fonzaso, Belluno, Veneto, Italy. Civil records for Fonzaso can be found in a the Belluno Civil records on Ancestry.com. As for family crest and other heraldry, please be aware that these names are not of the nobility but were peasant farmers who would ...

Re: great grandfather
If you are in Ancestry.com or can access it from a library of family history center, this is one of the trees I mentioned earlier: http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/1384965/ ... 6960667982

Looks like his wife's surname was not Altemere, but that one of her given names was Altamarie and her surname is Freeman
I suspect that this was their marriage https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FQYG-89Q

3rd Great Grandmother FUSINATO, Antonia
I am trying to find out where my 3x GGrandmother Antonia Fusinato was born. Here is what I do know, from the anagrafe of Fonzaso (Belluno) : Antonia Fusinato's father's name was Giacomo, she married my 3x GGrandfather Vittore Lira (1816-1880) of Giaroni di Fonzaso, son of Pasquale Lira and Magherita ...

@carubia
Your conclusion was correct. I emailed the Ufficio Anagrafe who revealed that Giovanni Antonio Lira was "nato il 26-09-1839
figlio di Vittore e FUSINATO Antonia (1^ moglie di Vittore)" Thanks for helping me brainstorm

Re: Parentage of Giovanni Lira
I agree with your conclusion. The fact that Margarita was still living could be why the person reporting it concluded that she was his mother. But with a 16 year age difference between Giovanni and his next supposed sibling it doesn't make sense. Giovanni's wife was Angela Venzon of Agana di Giaroni ...

Re: Joseph Cagliumi
I now have Joseph's date of death and locaton. I was correct in thinking that he died in Pennsylvania. The date was 9 Jan 1969. Thanks to Laura, I know he was living with his Aunt and Uncle in Colorado in 1920. And thanks to my Aunt I know he was living in PA in 1960. So I just have 40 years to ...

Re: Parentage of Giovanni Lira
First I did not intend to limit responses to those from Italy, was just trying to convey that Giovanni was not an immigrant, he was born in, lived and died in Giaroni di Fonzaso, therefore there would be no point in searching US records, sorry if I caused you confusion, I was not attempting to be ...

Parentage of Giovanni Lira
This question is posed to those folks living in Italy as Giovanni did not immigrate to the US, there would be no US Records. Here is my issue:
There appears to be some confusion with regard to my 2G Grandfather Giovanni Lira’s parentage. His death record indicates that his father was Vittore Lira ...

Re: Joseph Cagliumi
Joseph is buried in Colorado next to his mother. It is believed that he did not die there however but that his mother Luigia purchased both graves.http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=cagliumi&GSbyrel=all&GSdyrel=all&GSob=n&GRid=128431433&df=all& It may be that he didn't have a ...

Re: Joseph Cagliumi
Laura thankyou. These are good finds. It also explains why I couldn't find the 1920 census for the Lira famiy, search turned up Laira, Lero, but not Luna. This is also interesting since my grandmother, his sister Antonia Cagliumi Lira arrived in the US in Feb 1921. This may explain his eventual move ...
