Re: Perrotti (Perrotta) from Forino, Avellino

You can write to

anagrafe@comune.forino.av.it

If you go through the consulate for your citizenship, I think you won't need an apostille.
But if you have to provide it to an American Office, you will need one.

Re: Family from Collepardo, Lazia

Surname "De Angelis" is still present in Collepardo, while D'Angelo is not.
The other spellings are weirder for Italians.
However, I guess you'll have to provide their birth years (at least)

Re: Records Indexed Incorrectly?

If you look here:

https://www.familysearch.org/search/cat ... %20Library

there seem to be no records online for Sessa Aurunca after 1865. The only available ones are on film.

Re: Surname anomaly question

I have a genetic match (distant) with a surname of Ascenzi. In my grandparent's home commune (according to the civil records) there was a family (just one family) with a surname of D' Ascenzi. In that family's birth records, the wife's maiden name is Belli. That is the same as my 3GGm (she was a co...

Re: Gaetana D'Angelo from Cerami

I've looked in the ten-year-index for 1886-1895, but could not find any other sibling. Nor I could find Luigi and Rosalia's marriage. My guess is that Rosalia was not from Cerami, and they got married in her town. It is possible to find the banns for their marriage in the years immediately before 18...
