That's correct.
As there's no specification, I'd say her parents were living.

Re: Giovanni Finocchio e Josepha Papania

It says "qnd Leonis Lucae et viventis Franciscae Finocchio et Marsello"

"qnd" = "quondam" means "deceased"
In Sicilian records you will often find the surnames of spouses listed separed by "et": that means Leoluca Finocchio and Francesca Marsello.

Re: Looking for info on my second great-grandmother

I couldn't find any Maddalena born in Fagnano in the years 1882-1887.
Maybe she (or both) were born somewher else because of the "shame" that having children out of marriage was held to be.

Re: Looking for info on my second great-grandmother

In the volume of 1881 Births there is no Amalia Bottino.
Yet, there are two foundlings who were named Amalia (#8 and 11).

One of them might have been recognized later by her mother.

Re: Looking for info on my second great-grandmother

I've found the marriage of Amalia Bottino and Achille Amatuzzi in 1897 in Fagnano Castello:

Amalia was the daughter of Carolina Bottino and of an unknown father.

Re: Help with grooms baptism location from marriage record - Guidotti

I read:
Domenico Guidotti, son of Luigi, from (born in) the Parish of Santa Maria in Gabba.
The, it says that the banns were also posted in the Parish of San Lorenzo in Grecchia, where the groom lived.

Re: name variations

Ippolito and Girolamo (Hyeronimus) are different names.
Can you post the records where you found that?
