Marriage act confirms Cosima was daughter of unknown parents. Age is not mentioned, either. You should look in the "allegati" to see if there's something more. I noticed that Cosima has the title "donna", so, this can have two reasons: - just for the fact that she was marrying a ...

Hello Erudita & Lilbees,
I read "Cosima d'ignoti (o d'ignotis) intesa Campagna".
So, maybe Cosima (or some of her ancestors) was a foundling who was popularly known by the family name Campagna.

Yes, Vicaria is one of the districts of Napoli, but I think Vicaria also had other meanings, that now are lost. For instance, the "Gran Corte della Vicaria" was a Court in Naples, he may have been a clerk in it. I also found some references in Google Books to "portiere di Vicaria"...
