Re: translation from termini database

Hi smas1973,

I see you have a few posts for translation. Are these duplicates? If so I can delete them - if not, perhaps I can merge them into one thread? Please let me know.
Thanks

Re: Martone, Giuseppa

The translations are pretty much standard - only vital info is changed. Are you looking for something specific or just need help reading the names and dates?

Help with multiple documents

Just a reminder - The folks here at Italian Genealogy are happy to help with translations but please remember, these folks offer their time and knowledge freely and will willingly help with loose translations of the important parts of records. However, they can not always help with full translations...

I'm sorry - I must have linked them incorrectly - I will fix them tonight when I return from work unless someone can post them first.

Re: Do Italians read this site?

We have people from all over the world visiting this site so I would also say yes, they use it often. Those who have already replied are a testament to that.

Have you had a chance to look through the Family Search website to see what is available?

Re: Lazio Records

Or you might have success if you write to the State Archive instead of the town. Perhaps Italysearcher or one of our other Italian members can provide an address for that?

Thanks for sharing this resource. Perhaps we'll see about creating a board specifically for resources such as this so they don't get lost in the "crowd". :)

I don't believe the mother is listed. While I have not run into this phrase before it seems to suggest ignorance [?]. Could one of our Italian experts please confirm?

Re: Giuseppa Taglialavore of Cianciana

Is this an extraction you viewed online? If so you can try contacting the webmaster of the site to see if they have the original - otherwise you would either have to rent the microfilm of the year the record is on and copy it or write away to Italy for a copy of the actual document.

Re: DNA Testing

Thanks for the info. I recently had my brother test with 23andMe and now he'll be doing the Family Tree DNA. I'll post here once I get the full results back.
