Re: Funny

Brioschi is always on our shopping list when we have the family over for the holdiays as well as a bottle of Fernet Branca.

And yes, Nuccia, I'd write to Rosina and Pasquale. I think they could do a hilarious skit woven around a GPS, even funnier than the OnStar one.

Nuccia,

Arguing with a GPS! Sounds like a great idea for a Rosina and Pasquale Parmiggiano skit!

Re: error in Lazzaro-Loverde post

Valarie,
Teamwork is the name of the game. Thanks to your hard work and diligence, Lisa now has some solid records to verify.

Lisa,
I do believe if you contact Nick Loverde, the Mount Morris town historian, and relate the information you've found, you'll find a receptive audience.

Valarie, Superb job! Fantastic research!
I can't believe you found a possible relative who is the Mount Morris town historian. And all within four hours. Amazing.

Re: Lost in PA

Mark, If you'd like to take a look at some interior shots of where your great grandfather worked to support his family and get a feel for the working conditions, there are a number of photos from 1941 showing the employees of the Washington Tin Plate Company at work. They're availble to view at the ...

Re: Could someone hepl me out with the Savoca-Farfaglia Fami

Mike, Hope all is well with you and your family. I believe the Ellis Island site records stop in 1924 when emigrants began being processed in their native country. Post 1924 records until 1957 are available at Ancestry.com.

I've had no luck locating the Farfaglia girls who joined Aniello. Sorry.

Re: Lost in PA

I located the 1910 census record for 120 Woodland St, and there was nothing resembling a Domenico Muoio at that address. Did find a boarder Dominick Meneo down the street on Woodland but the age and year of immigration are incorrect.

Re: Lazzaro and Loverde

What census years and what city, county, state? Sometimes the smallest clue can help. If you cannot post a link to the census records, I'll try to locate and post for you so others can view.

Re: Lazzaro and Loverde

Welcome to the forum.

A couple of questions which might help in locating records.

Do you know what town/province/region Joseph and Frank emigrated from? And do you know where they settled in the US? If in the New York city area, what borough?

Re: Lost in PA

Valarie, I found no likelys using the Steve Morse search form and went to Ancestry and decided to check the Philadelphia manifests first. Typed in Muoio and it was there. I read the years as 1899-1912. So, there's another manifest and another census record. Edited second time to correct Domenico De ...
