Death Act for Vito Summa
Death act #12 of 1927 for Vito Summa, age 78? This one took me a while to find. I know the father is Domenico, the mother is Vita Crescenzia Colangelo. Wife is Carminella Morlino. I was trying to see if they listed an address or street name but I'm not seeing anything. Who are the other names listed...

Re: What can you tell me about "Ninco Nanco"?
Death Act for Ninco Nanco, #103 of 1864. Is there anything telling in the notes? Occupation is still listed as a farmer.

Birth Act for Domenica Maria Genovese
Wow some of these are hard to read! Birth Act # 724 of 1868. I know the father is Leonardo, son of Andrea. Can't make out the mother's name. Would also like to know the ages if listed and the date of birth. Thanks https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/1886/31053_A510288-00001?backurl=https%3a%2f%2fse...

Re: Aviglianese nickname - Cirota?
Actually, the other two don't make sense either. I am guessing the names are phoenetic.
Miragold is not Italian - probably Mira Colo. Spaccatotora? Spacca tu torra? Cirota - Ci Rota? Si Rota? Ci Ruotta? lol

Re: Aviglianese nickname - Cirota?
From the April 1993 issue of the Split Rock Gazzette. If it is a surname, I have traced back to one generation before 1759 with no Cirotas in the string. I do not know where they resided in Avigliano (they were farmers so probably not in the city itself), maybe it has something to do with that.

Aviglianese nickname - Cirota?
I found a mention of a family nickname, "cirota," but got nothing from the google translator. I'm thinking it's slang or regional dialect? Family is from Avigliano, PZ. Thanks

Re: Help with death record?
I found the birth record for Vito Nicola, act 471 of 1820. That one looks like a match. Of course, his grandfather's name is missing. http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it/v/Archivio+di+Stato+di+Potenza/Stato+civile+della+restaurazione/Avigliano/Nati/1820/007693428_01163.jpg.html?g2_imageViewsInde...

Re: Help with death record?
I think I may have found a brother for Andrea - marriage act #70 of 1839. Mother is Vita Crescenzia though. What are the ages? Might be able to find the birth act to confirm but early 1800 records for Avigliano are a mess. Thanks http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it/v/Archivio+di+Stato+di+Potenza...

Re: Help with death record?
Reviving an old thread - I believe I have found the marriage act for Andrea and Maria Giovanna, #105 of 1830. Any idea on the bride's mother's maiden name? Guglielmi? Andrea's mother's definitely looks like Larossa here. http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it/v/Archivio+di+Stato+di+Potenza/Stato+ci...

If I can fit one more in here, marriage act #103 of 1858, for Leonardo Genovese and is it Carminella Manfredi? Ages, parents and dates on this one, please. http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it/v/Archivio+di+Stato+di+Potenza/Stato+civile+della+restaurazione/Avigliano/Matrimoni/1858/007693561_00872...
