Parisi - Loiacono Detroit, Michigan

For a long time I've been trying to locate living descendants of my cousins Anna Loiacono and her husband Nicolo Parisi (or any descendants of Anna's siblings: brother Giuseppe "Joseph" (1899-1965), sisters Ignazia "Jennie" (1904), and Giuseppa "Josephine" (1894-1895) )...

Re: Looking for Sicilian Recipe - Puchidata

Nazca- Okay - I now understand what you meant! The word "pucciddati" is one of the various names for the "fig cookie or cake"! But I think in my family's Sicilian village they filled the pucciddati different than the "uciadada" biscotti. I am very well aware that even f...

Re: Looking for Sicilian Recipe - Puchidata

Thank you Nazca for the reply. I do have my family's recipe for fig cookies. The ones you link are very similar to what I bake (with a few exceptions to the dough and filling.) However what I am looking for is "Puchidata". Here is an old photo of what they look like. Hope someone out there...

Looking for Sicilian Recipe - Puchidata

These "Puchidata" look like little pot pies. You bake them in a muffin pan. I don't remember what they are filled with. There is no one in my family old enough to remember the recipe! I would love to surprise them with it. Could the filling be similar to the fig cookies? In the Sicilian vi...

What does the word "Braccialiero" mean? It is listed as the occupation of my grandfather
on his death record from Palermo.

Thank you

No. Unfortunately we were all kids when my aunt died. I came across his mom's name while looking through some family funeral cards.

Re: CAFARELLI/CAFARELLA Birth Records from Laurenzana, Poten

My aunt was married to a gentlemen named Raymond Cafarelli. Uncle Ray was her 2nd husband. They did not have children together. Although my aunt had children by her 1st husband. I don't know if Ray was ever married before my aunt or after she her death. My aunt Lena Randazzo Gatto (1900-1967), died ...

suanj:

Does this family tree list the birth, place of birth and death information for the
Giuseppa Randazzo you mentioned above? I have been searching
for a relative with this name. I have no idea who she married or
what happened to her once she landed in the USA. Thanks

Re: Searching for USA arrival for- Pizzaiola

Carmine: Thanks for replying. The research I'm doing is for a friend. I had already checked on Paginebianche before creating my post here. My problem as you stated is that only pizzarias come up when I search Google etc. I even tried typing in the word "surname" before it. No luck. As far ...

Searching for USA arrival for- Pizzaiola

Does anyone know if Ancestry list USA arrivals for the late 1960s? I tried searching, but
Ancestry comes up with no one with this surname. I don't have a subscription. Thanks

Re: Researching Morea family

Thank you adelfio and suanj!

Regarding my question about requesting death certificates for
Domenico and Antonietta - Do you think I will be able to receive
them since I am only related to their children by marriage?
