Need help to decipher the surname of the deceased. I can make out the first name of Filippo. Surname L or S? Also I was able to read that he was a 32 year-old bachelor. That the cause of death occured in Montemaggio. That he was dragged by a mule. What are the words between male and "trascinato...

Re: Need help with a translation

Thank you so much Erudita and Pippo for your help. :D I first thought it could be Ippolito (written quickly). It's a name familar to my family that is also from Sciara via Carini. Hmm...Arena. I'll have to look at the content lists to see if I can trace the line back. Man-it's too bad we can't accep...

Re: Help with 1890 birth record

Paola:

For now, I have not confirmed if Rosa and Giuseppa are sisters. I have a line
of Di Bellas, a Rosa is among them. I'm pretty certain that these two people
Rosa and Giuseppa are cousins to my line.

Re: Help with 1890 birth record

Dear Livio:

I am extremely grateful for the full translation! 8)

Many years ago, a cousin gave me all the dates (birth, marriage, death)
from the town for our family tree. For whatever reason they omitted
the other data written on the actual record, which is just as important.

Re: help with 1888 translation

Paola - Thank you so very much. To see their actual birth record and have it translated - priceless.:!: Yes - Lo Varco is the maiden name of Antonino Di Pasquale's wife Orsola. You are also correct in "Esposito" as the surname of the witness. It's nice to see not only that Antonino could s...

Re: help with 1888 translation

Thank you for the explanation Paola.

I have another record that needs translating.

Would you mind translating the birth record for twins Anna Maria and Domenica Di Pasquale?
