Re: Official procedure for amending in NY or CT

I can only speak about my experience at the Greenwich, CT Probate Court last summer: With regards to deceased persons: NO changes to names on birth certificates, death certificates or marriage licenses are possible. That being said, my sisters birth certificate has a spelling error and she wants to ...

Re: NYC - application rejected. Due to docs from Munic Archi

Plus - the misspellings are not even in the direct line. Anyone successful in changing documents from the Municipal Archives? Marie, How prevalent were the errors? We had errors on our documents, but most were limited to the last letter of our surname. We had our appointment 10/29/10 & Emilio d...

Re: Houston Consulate

Did you just take a chance and write for the birth certificate or did they just mail it to you?

We had our appointment in October @ NYC Consulate, so I've wondered if I should write the comune a letter and see if I can get a copy of my Italian birth certificate.

The paperwork

As we progress in our journey towards citiizenship we've probably all gathered large amounts of paper research.

My question: What to we do with it now?

I've gotten the suggestion to scan all of the documents onto my laptop & discard the paper.

Any other thoughts?

Carmine,

I thought the reference was something along those lines. :P

Phrase

My grandfather was known in Avigliano as "Minga Motts". The spelling might be incorrect, but has anyone heard the phrase?

Hopefully, I wont regret asking the definition

Italian co-worker

I just discovered a co-worker's parents were born in Naples & moved to the Waterbury, CT area in the early fifties. The co-worker's father became a US Citizen, but his mother is still an Italian Citizen and she even has a current Italian passport! Can she just send a copy of her passport to the ...

I guess I wont work on anything until the begining of the new year so it may actually take me all that time to finish. I guess there are worse things. The guy told me he would lo...
