Re: help with death cert translation

No relationship is given in the record for Battista Listello (29) and Giacomo (the deceased) - though your inquiry crossed my mind. USUALLY, if there is a relationship, especially when it is a parent child relationship, it is mentioned in the record.

Re: Adele SARRI born 1832 Campiglia Marittima

Here is the link to the record...

I would agree that the surname is Mazzei - found in Campiglia Marittima

Re: help with death cert translation

My best effort with this very faded record... Dated 25 December 1881 Battista Listello, 29, farmer, Son of deceased Giacomo; and Alberto Luna(?), 35, tailor, Son of deceased Bartolomeo, both residents of Mocchie. declared that yesterday in the house in Borgata Gazzina(?) #1, died Giacomo Listello, a...

Re: Transcription: Bellini Lucia - Atti di Morti

Sadly this is restricted to look at and the only place "affiliated" that I find near my place charges $40 per hour. This is kind of a bummer. Tessa, is there a way I can have an screenshot for this entry? Thank you I do not have an "entry" to share... the indication of her birthplace as Comune of O...

Re: Seeking birth/marriage records Giuliana, Sicily

The civil records are held at the local level... so yes, that is where he was born, and where the record was held.

Re: What is this name?

Filippaneria (in the margin) and Filippa Neri (in the record)

Her second given name seems to be in honor of the saint Filippo Neri (St. Philip Neri)

Re: Transcription: Bellini Lucia - Atti di Morti

Monday March 25, 1872 at municipal offices in Zimella. Followed by a very long stretch of legalese indicating the local functionary’s position and authority. Then it says On March 18, 1872 appeared Dr. Giuseppe Inghilini, son of Matteo, deceased, age 65, medical doctor, and Angelo Cardo, son of Fra...

Assume nothing. :D

The birth place of Giuseppe's parents MAY be on his birth act if you are lucky.

Re: Transcription: Bellini Lucia - Atti di Morti

I am reading the first declarant's surname as Guglielmi, not Inghilini.
It is much clearer at his signature on the next page.

Re: Seeking birth/marriage records Giuliana, Sicily

The record you posted is the Publication of Marriage - not the Marriage act. The marriage would have taken place sometime after the last posting on 10 October. As to Giuseppe's birth act. That would be found in Chiusa Sclafani. It is noted at the bottom of the pubblicazioni where the official noted ...

Re: Unraveling the Cirota's of Giungano

His second marriage was in the US in 1899. So, not two families at the same time, but rather, one family with first wife in Italy and one family with second wife in America after the death of the first wife. Nothing really intriguing. First wife was not deceased when Francesco immigrated to USA. In...
