Re: Help translating letters please

It's not so easy because her italian was very poor and, on the other hand, the letter is rich of dialectal expressions and terms.

Re: Help translating letters please

Hi Kristina,
I am experiencing some difficulties in put them in order. Because the last image seems to come from a different letter...
Seems to me that the first and the 4th are consequential, but I can't say aboutthe 2nd and 3rd.

Re: Italian American History Month

Haha. Albano has a beautiful voice, you know he was married with the daughter of Tyron Power and Linda Christian (50's movie stars who felt in love with Rome and came to live there for a while). Their first daughter, Ylenia, disappeared in New Orleans in the early ninetines. Never heard of her ever ...

Re: Latin and Italian

I see your point of view. I just can say that when you are 17, after kindergarden with Nuns and 8 years of preparation for the Sacraments, those scripts -second to fift century- sound quite boring because you know them quite by heart. Anyway, I loved Sant'Agostino and I agree with you that history o...

Re: Unresponsive comune, its been almost a year!!!

Dear Floriana, Thank you so much for getting in touch with him--Bobbio is a nearby comune but is not the comune of Bertone. I don't know if you/he knows this or if the document would be there but I just wanted to clarify with you. Bertone is a one-street village in the comune of Ottone, province of...
