Applying for Citizenship in Italy Services

I am curious about applying in Italy and would like more info and to hear from those who have successfully done it. I'm looking for names of services (i know there's one gentleman that people seem to like but I can't recall his name), how much was the cost, where did you apply, how was the service, ...

Re: what is a 'normal' Sicilian temper??

I am zero percent Sicilian, my family came from Caserta in Campania, but I think this is not a 'Sicilian' thing, but rather temperament from family to family no matter which region they live in or came from. My grandparents families came from different villages within Caserta but still fairly close ...

Thanks Livio. I’m guessing this was common with all civil marriages and the church not recognizing them.

Re: Assistance with Latin Please

It looks to me that it just references the 3 publications of the banns, 31 December, 1 and 6 of this [month], and that no impediment was found. Why do you say they were married in December 1891? Kevin Because I have a copy of their bans and marriage record from 1891. Attached is the cover page from...

Assistance with Latin Please

I would like to know what the beginning of this church marriage record says starting beneath the Groom's name (Petrus Taormina) and ending at the Priest's name. I'm also curious as to why this record takes place in Jan 1894 when the marriage happened in December of 1891. Is this when the marriage wa...

Grazie Livio. I saw that other name listed but didn’t know what the abbreviation was for Godfather, that’s good to know.

Thanks, but I guess I meant to say that I do not understand anything after that point, do you know what the rest says and refers to?

Help w/ Christening (Cresima)

This document is the Christening for Mercurio Taormina #212, son of Pietro Taormina and Rosa Di Mercurio. What I cannot read/understand is what is says following the mother's surname of Di Mercurio. Link: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:9Q97-YMF9-7LD?i=62&wc=MG39-BZ9%3A351041101%2C35...

Re: Place of Last Residence/Ship Manifest Help

I went through the entire passenger list for the Vancouver to Boston on the family search website and there aren't any pages there for passengers detained or held over for special inquiry. I can't seem to access the passenger list from the stevemorse. org website. For some reason, the images aren't...
