Re: cerossimo/cersosimo & jacabacci/iacabacci

I can see a 1933 marriage for Joseph Cerossimo & Vincenza Iacabacci in New York. This couple had a daughter Elizabeth born around 1938-1939. This Joseph had a previous marriage in 1927 to Alfreda Previtera. Joseph's parents are Salvatore Cersosimo & Vincenza (maybe la Mantia?). Salvatore was...

It is also more useful to provide exactly what you're looking for vs. a theoretical question, that way we could help you look if we had all the details. Who is this person, when did they die, link to their record, etc.

Re: Place of Birth on Church Death Records

In my experience, not always. You'll want to consult with other records for the person and look out for 'cives' or often an abbreviation of cives like cvs (sometimes combined with a flourish into a single symbol depending on the town) to get a feel for if they're from that particular town (huius) or...

Re: How Rare is This?

Cabinet cards are portrait photographs common in the later end of the 1800s. I've got a quick snippet of video of a Polish 2x-great born in 1881 and a few very old photos. One of an Irish immigrant husband and wife direct ancestor pair born around 1802/1805, one of an Irish many-great aunt born arou...
