Hit a stone wall in Valmontone

Post by MarcuccioV »

I realize this is going to be a long post, so I want to apologize beforehand. I have hit a dead end on the paper trails for the following ancestors. All the information listed below is based on death acts from Valmontone, Lazio beginning in 1871. I have exhausted all the avenues that I know of (short of contacting the commune & parish or paying a genealogist) but it seems many researchers here seem to locate the impossible, so I guess I’m hoping for the same kind of miracle.

Even if it’s only on ONE of these names, or a name to place in a spot where I don’t have one.

All the people listed below were taken from their children’s death acts post-1870. These successors all died in Valmontone, but I can’t verify they were all born in Valmontone since many of the acts were simply witnessed by the undertaker or gravediggers, so place of birth may only be a guess. My DNA breakdown gives ancestral locations as Campania, Abruzzo, Sicilia and Puglia in addition to Lazio.
Everyone below died before 1871. Possible parent’s names are in parentheses. Again, even if someone finds info on ONE of these names I will call it a win. I know some out there relish the challenge. I thank you in advance.

Do civil records before 1871 for Valmontone exist but haven't been digitized by anyone (Family Search, Ancestry, Antenati, etc.) or do they not exist?

Could they be available for years before 1871 under a different geographical entity like Lazio or Roma?

Is your passport current?

Have you tried searching marriage allegati or the equivalent?

From my understanding, no civil records exist pre-1871, however some communes in Lazio DO have pre-1871 records, so I have no proof either way. Nor any way to know if any of these people originated in any other commune. Researching every commune with older records would be an impossible undertaking for one person...

Yes, my passport is current, however my wallet is empty...
