Hello everyone,
I am searching for information about my maternal ancestors, originally from Trani, in the province of Bari, region of Apulia (Puglia). The family name is Guacci.
My great-grandmother was named Domenica Guacci, and she was likely born between 1863 and 1873. Her parents were Antonio Guacci and Emmanuela (possibly with the surname Antino, though I am not certain).
I have contacted the Comune of Trani, but unfortunately, I have not received any helpful replies, or the records could not be found. As I live outside of Italy, it is difficult for me to continue this research in person.
On FamilySearch, I found a large genealogical tree connected to the Guacci family, and I hope that someone—perhaps familiar with this family or living in Trani—might be able to help or point me in the right direction.
I also have some old documents that include addresses where the family lived in the 20th century, which I would be happy to share if they can be of use.
Thank you in advance for any help, advice, or contacts you may be able to offer.

Hello,
Another late reply but, as they say, better late than never……
Domenica’s parents are Libero Antonio Guacci and Emmanuella Intino.
They got married in Trani on 15 March 1855.
Libero Antonio born in Trani 6 December 1818
His parents are Francesco and Rachele Centofanti.
Emmanuella born in Trani 6 September 1838
Her parents are Francesco (deceased) and Angela Di Feo.

If you are interested, this act needs more looking into as there are children born before this marriage.

You might try reaching out to local genealogical groups or Facebook communities focused on Trani or Apulia ancestry—sometimes residents or amateur historians can access records not available online
