CAPEZZUTO FAMILY

Post by P95TRACER »

HI EVERYBODY - TRYING TO FIND INFORMATION ON MY GRANDFATHER'S FAMILY. HIS NAME WAS ALESSIO CAPEZZUTO, FROM CASTELLABATE AND ARRIVED IN THE US IN 1905. HIS FATHER WAS DOMENICO WHO VISITED, BUT RETURNED TO ITALY. HE HAD A FEW SISTERS, AND THAT'S IS WHO I AM TRYING TO TRACE. THEY WERE CARMELLA, JOSEPHINE AND ROSE. CARMELLA & ALESSIO BOTH LIVED IN WILMERDING, PA., BUT I HAVE NOT FOUND SO MUCH INFO ON CARMELLA OTHER THAN WE MARRIED A LAURENCE RUSSO.
I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO FIND ALESSIO'S FATHER DOMENICO AND WHO HIS MOTHER WAS.
THANKS FOR ANY HELP, AND IF I CAN HELP ANYONE THAT NEEDS INFO FROM WASHINGTON COUNTY, MARYLAND, LET ME KNOW.

Hello Pat and Welcome to the Forum :D !

Do you have all of your family's US census, military and ship manifest records?

Have you written to Castellabate for Alessio's birth record?

Research in Castellabate by writing to the comune:

Thank You to everyone who responded. I am very grateful for your help.
I have sent a letter now to the Stato Civile in Castellabate, and will certainly follow the rest of your suggestions.

I live in Hagerstown, Md. so if I can "PAY IT FORWARD", please let me know.
