Cerco mio grande Bisnonno Giuseppe Viola

Post by DavidViola »

Hi, I'm looking for information about my great grandparent Giuseppe Viola and my great Grandmother Magdalena Goia, they left Italy between 1870-1900 and came to Brazil. I really need to know where they got married. I need a copy from the wedding certificate ASAP, cause I'm looking after my italian citizenship. But I really don't know how to find them.
Any information is precious.
Thanks
David Viola

They most likely marrried in your Ggrandmother's town of origin in Italy. Do you know the town she came from in Italy? =Peter=

No, i don't know her city of origin. What I really would like to know is, How to perform this search without having to go to Italy?
The only iformation I have is a marriage that happened before their trip to Brazil (1870-1900) and both names. Giuseppe Viola and Magdalena Goia.
Thank you

Maddalena Gioia came single in Brazil:
Pesquisa de nomes - Consulta online

Nome Sobrenome Parentesco Ano Nacionalidade
MADALENA GIOIA - 16/8/1882 ITALIA
and it are several Giuseppe Viola emigrated in Brazil...

GIUS.e VIOLA SOZINHO 12/9/1891 ITALIANA
GIUS.e VIOLA MARIDO 17/10/1892 ITALIANA
GIUSEPPE VIOLA MARIDO 21/5/1888 ITALIANA
GIUSEPPE VIOLA CHEFE 3/3/1889 ITALIANA
GIUSEPPE VIOLA MARIDO 26/12/1892 ITALIANA
GIUSEPPE VIOLA - 6/9/1895 ITALIANOS
GIUSEPPE VIOLA SO 17/11/1902 ITALIANO
GIUSEPPE VIOLA CHEFE 21/8/1912 ITALIANAS

most probably they married in Brazil and not in Italy... so it is better that you find any possible data abt your ancestors, because only the names it is no enough for a help...
best regards,

Go to www.mj.gov.br... on the right side of the screen clickon Cadastro de Cartorios. Next page select the desired sate on the map and clickon it. Now select the town (Municipio) inthat state and then select the Casamento in Atribuicao.

Since your in Brazil and know portuguese you can possibly trace it that way. =Peter=
