They are asking you to make your request in Italian and to be sure to include the date of birth.
PS: If not certain of the exact date of birth, you can try something like "circa 1885-1887"

I tried to use a translator on line but I guess it comes out sort of wrong. if I write something out could someone help me translate it?

Which I take to mean, Compliments on your Italian; I will search for the record. Signed, G. Chiello, department manager.
Perhaps Livio will offer a better translation.

Hello, I have Sirname Romano I am reserching. dont know if it is the same line. I am still gathering information but Daniel Romano, father Vito Romano 1864, and mother Carmella, siblings were margaret,mary,make,leonard,vito jr. farina,carmella, acording to the 1920 & 1930 census they ended up in connecticut. and Dany maried a GODINO. other names of intrest so far ar pllegrino,Longobucco,&pacini, Thanks Violet
