Luigi Vischia

Post by Talamini »

Ciao! I am new and I am trying to research my family tree. I would appreciate any and all help.

My family is from ORMELLE and ODERZO. When they came to the USA in the early 1900's, they lived in Clifton, New Jersey.

Luigi Vischia, born in Ormelle (April 17, 1870-1942) married
Esther Wiedeman (1875-1942)
Children:
Corrine Vischia De Negri (1898) born in Italy, Orerzo
Alberto Vischia (1895) born in Italy, Orerzo
Aldo Vischia (1905) born in NJ
Ida Vischia Talamini (1906-1972) born in NJ - my grandmother
Clara Vischia Floyd (1911) born in NJ

In Luigi’s passport notes:
Father of Luigi: Vincenzo Vischia
Luigi had a brother and sister in living in Orderzo
Uncle - Dr. Cesare Bianchi (I am guessing that Luigi's mother was a Bianchi) who lived in Orderzo.

Possible brother of Luigi is Ulysses Vischia, born in Italy, 1882 and lived in Clifton NJ.

Thank you :D

There is a Giovanni, brother to Luigi listed on the Treviso State Archive site, born in Ormelle, Treviso in 1878 and perhaps 1877. The same parents are listed as Luigi

http://www.archiviodistatotreviso.benic ... laID=14423

Most civil records can be located at the Comune level from 1871 and forward.
