Oddo/Miceli

Post by HockeyMomX7 »

I do not have much information but what I do have is

my grandmother arrived in 1921 Giacoma Oddo on the Patria - she was 16 - I know she came with her parents but I cannot find her parents on the manifest

my grandfather Alberto Miceli - I cannot find him anywhere

Alberto and Giacoma were married and lived in Brooklyn NY for their life.

Any advice/ideas where to start? I have very limited financial resources so I am looking for free websites.

THANK YOU in advance for any help

Marriage index on italiangen.org (a free website) shows:

Miceli Alberto Nov 4 1923 Kings 14594 (the last number is the certif. #)

You can send away for this marriage record.

You can view the ship manifest for Alberto Miceli at ellisisland.org which is a free site. The census may be viewed at ancestry.com using their offer for a free trial.

Ciao HokeyMom, I want to tell you a story. Today I was in my father's house and we was talkin about zia Giacomina, Zio Alberto, Mario, Nicola and Diana. When I come back home I was searchin' about someone of the family and I found you. My grandmother was the sister of your grandfather. I live in Trapani ad my name is antonello. That's a surprise!!!!
