I searched your lastname using this site ... it seems it doesn't exist today, maybe it was a mispelling of another surname?

http://www.gens.labo.net/it/cognomi/genera.html

Could you tell us your ancestors names, where they lived, when did they immigrate?

Thank you for looking into it. All I know is of a Martin Pusatello born in 1915. I was told that he was born in Sicilly, I think. And my father Is Ronald Pusatello who was born in chicago illinois.
That at this point I've found.
Again thank you

Welcome to the forum, Nick! :-)

I think the last name may have been Piscitello. There are quite a few of them in Sicily.

I found a 1930 Census for Marrino (Martin?) Pusatello, born about 1914-15, living in Chicago with his father Peter, 45, widower, born in Italy, and an older brother Vito, 19 born in Italy. It lists Marrino as being born in Illinois. They were living on Irving Ave. Peter is listed as immigrating in 1905, and Vito's immigration is listed as unknown.

Also found this WWI registration card for Pietro Piscitello (may be Peter Pusatello?) in Chicago.

Thank you again
I found a couple of interesting things. I've got birthdates. Martins Bday is 11/20/15 and Ronald's 2/25/33. According to one of the sights I found. I also have SS#s for both but I don't know how safe it is to post on the net. Is it unusual for people to change there names when they come to the U.S.?
Still confused but very encouraged
Thank you Nick

Hello Nick :D
It's not at all unusual
Here's a pretty neat article on the subject of name changes

Nick,

You can send away to the Social Security Administration, and for a fee, you can obtain their SS Applications. This will have the name of parents and the place of birth.
