Post by DianeLuther67 »

I'm looking for my paternal grandfathers family. The last name is Petrisi..or some variation of that spelling. Our last name was spelled Petrice. He and his family was from Militello Rosmarino Sicily.. or S'ant Agatha Sicily.. I believe the towns were close. His name was Russell Petrice.. Any information will be appreciated.

Thank you for the information.. this is my grandfather but he was not born in Mexico.. he was born in Militello. I have records from him.. but not his mother or father.. or his grandparents. My father is deceased also.. as are my grandfathers brothers and sister. This is a wonderful place to look for information that I may never find another way. Thank you again.

The same tree as found on Ancestry can be found on Rootsweb.com:

Russell Petrice

However, the submitter has more updated detail at Ancestry.
The tree at Rootsweb must of been a rough draft, as dates and names have changed between the two.

Also, from all records the indication of birth place is solid, and the town has been microfilmed. This would include births, marriages, and death records covering the years 1820 -1910:

Microfilm

And the following link will take you to a post by member VJ, who has outlined all the necessary steps to use the resource above.
