Bollina-Terra of Ragusa

As a nation state, Italy has emerged only in 1871. Until then the country was politically divided into a large number of independant cities, provinces and islands. The currently available evidences point out to a dominant Etruscan, Greek and Roman cultural influence on today's Italians.

Is any one familiar with the family name Bollina-Terra, or La Terra-Bollina, from the City of Ragusa.

There is one listing in Ragusa for La Terra Bellina in the Italian telephone directory, http://www.paginebianche.it/execute.cgi ... &ind=&l=en

Nine Bellina Terra's - http://www.paginebianche.it/execute.cgi ... agusa&ind=

And 40'ish Bellina's - http://www.paginebianche.it/execute.cgi ... agusa&ind=

Note: all Bellina's with an "e", not Bollina with an "o".

What information are you seeking?

Thank you for responding "Johnnyonthespot". I think that I answered my own question. Bellina-Terra appears to be a variation of the older surname La Terra-Bellina. Based on the information that I have found.

Thank you anyway
