They immigrated to the US from Italy but not sure when. I have little information on this family. I talked with some members that were adopted by John and his wife but they really knew nothing. Other than this I know nothing sadlyTessa78 wrote:Hello Toni
We'd be happy to help...
Did they always living in Saratoga Springs? Were they born in USA, or another country? If another country, when approximately, did they immigrate to USA? Besides Carmela's estimated birth date being about 1880 - 1890, do you have a date for John?
Anything you can provide as further detail would greatly help.

Yes this is the right family. Two sister's married two DiBernardo's. Carmela's sister Maria Rosa Cappibianca was married to my great-grandfather's brother Francesco. So I have been trying to make the connection between this family. I was told John's father died in the 40's. So where do I go from here? I have tried to figure this all out. I just hit dead ends. Thank-you for all of the help greatly appreciatedvj wrote:Toni and T

Best proof would be birth records from Camigliano

This is the right family...but where exactly do I go from here? It mentions a brother Frank I am wondering if its not a brother-in-law instead of brother. Is there a way to find a death certificate on James and Frank? Just exactly what do I have to do? Francesco didn't have a brother named James but who knows maybe they used middle names instead?? There were two wives in the family in Italy the first died and the father my great-great-grandfather remarried and started a whole second family maybe cld be connected thru this side. Any ideas? TY you guys are the best
brother Frank Bernard 58, abt 1872 IT
Are there any manifests that give names of parents that wld be very helpful. Is there anyway to find out abt Antonio in the censuses? Maybe if there is a name there I can maybe figure out where they fit in. Tall order I know. James is a common 'americanization' of Vincenzotonij16102 wrote:... Is there a way to find a death certificate on James and Frank? Just exactly what do I have to do? Francesco didn't have a brother named James but who knows maybe they used middle names instead?? ...
