Italian Ancestors

Post by april2579 »

I'm looking to find more information on my great great grandparents, Maria Carmina Paolicci & Gerardo D'Ambrosio... their son Antonio D'Ambrosio immigrated to the US in 1925, he was born 3 Aug 1893
in Goriano Sicoli, Abruzzo, Italy

I'm hitting a wall in finding information on the D'Ambrosio side of the family beyond my great grandfather, any information or help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

this ancestor is probably a bit before my great grandfather's line. (Benedetto D'Ambrosio) My grandfather (Alfredo D'Ambrosio) emigrated from Goriano in 1906 with my grandmother, Gemma Giancola to Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh and Cleveland have large Gorianese populations, with an active Gorianese Club in Cleveland.

I will be in Goriano this spring for a few months (I have a small house there) and could retrieve the pages from your family if you like (based on the name and birth date you have, this should be enough to nail down the correct "Family Page" which will have the home address of the family).

Send me your email and we can keep in touch...

regards,

Nick Rossi
