I have been told that my great grandparents emigrated from Genoa about 1886, another family member says it was Milan, does anyone have any info regarding emigration from villages in these areas, they emigrated to England and settled in Liverpool, they could have been on route to the USA, as Liverpool was then the major port. But lots of people got as far as Liverpool and stayed there.
I know that people from the same village tended to stay together, but the majority of their neighbours emigrated from Picinisco, Frosinone, but they didn't. if anyone can point me in a direction I would be grateful as Frangioni doesn't seem to be a common surname.

Hi
I have come across quite a few people called Fergione/i (also recorded as Fergone,Ferigoni) that settled in Sheffield, It could be that the name was mis transcribed. The Fergione/i family came from Venafro.
