Hello,
Does anyone by chance have any info from Italy or Sicily for the last name of Blevins? This name has multiple variations and spellings from Italian erra and the few that I could have obtained info from are now deceased.
Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum,
According to this site, the name Blevins only appears in one town in Italy.

Here is the only phone in Italy registered to a Blevins.

Re: Info/help
Ok thanks for the info, I believe alot of trying to find the info for the lastname in the early years may have been lost or other means, because way back then record keeping isnt anything like what it is today.
I do know some of the altered names was from Blevinsitii, Blevanasiano, and some others that I can't remember right off.
But maybe something will eventually turn up.

Re: Info/help
I would say that Blevins is clearly not an Italian spelling; what other variations do you have?
The only one I came up with after a brief search is a half dozen instances of Blevio in the southern province of Cosenza. See http://www.paginebianche.it/execute.cgi ... btt=1&om=0

Where did your ancestors settle in the US (?). When did they arrive? Approximate birth years, spouse's names, children's names?

Blevins is probably an Austrian name. Historically, the border changed many times. Here is a tool you can use to help you find variations of the name.
http://italia.indettaglio.it/eng/cognomi/cognomi.html
You can search by the first 3 or 4 letters of the name.
