Vaccaro

Post by wmarsala »

Hello everyone,

I am on my search again. I am looking for information on my Great Grandmother. Her name is Josephine Vaccaro (married name; Marsala) She was born in 1906 in Italy (not sure where) and I believe she died in 1992 in Chino, Ca. She had a sister named Carmella and a brother named Sam. I am not sure where and when they were born. She married my Great Grandfather Phillip (Filipo) Marsala in 1929 then he died two years later. Any information would be great.

Not sure if this is your Josephine..

Name: Josephine Marsala
Social Security #: xxx-xx-2024
Sex: FEMALE
Birth Date: 3 Nov 1906

When you say Phillip died two years later..after their wedding or after Josephine died?

It should be noted... :-)

There are naturalization notations/numbers/dates next to each of the daughters' names...
Giuseppa has a 1938 date...

From what we've gathered, it would appear that your GGGM Francesca may have come from Aragona, and Nicolo Vaccaro from Roccapalumba. Your GGM was born in Roccapalumba, but her grandfather Nicolo Urso was in Aragona...

You can write to Aragona to request the birth record for Francesca Urso, and even the marriage record of her parents (you know her father's name now) :-)

The info on the sibblings could possibly be true. I am not sure, I only have americanized names for them. I have Sam, Tina, Alice, Josephine (Giuseppa)That is the order of oldest to youngest. So we are missing one kid on that list. I thank you so much for the information.
