Help Deciphering This Name, Please! :)
I am trying to figure out the last name of the woman listed as the "person you are going to" on lines 27/28, page 2 of this passenger manifest.
I know her first name is Vincenza and that her address is 26 Cherry Street. Any ideas on what the last name is?

The image is way too small and can't be read at all. I tried importing it into a photo program and enlarging it, and it is out of focus.
What is the name of the person on the passenger list and what ship and date?

My apologies...the original image was too large to upload and I had to resize.
The ship is the SS Hamburg which arrived in NY on August 31, 1910.
The passenger is Margherita De Santis, traveling with her daughter Filomena.

Is their last name misspelled in the search engine?

At the Ellis Island site it is "De Santi"....not sure if this link will work:

Are you accessing the passenger list though ancestry.com? If so, I don't have a subscription and can't access it that way. It is not coming up for me on ellisisland.org or on the www.stevemorse.org website

Line 27 on this image. Click the thumbnail, then click again.
At Ancestry . com she is Margherita De Santi; the ship arrival date is Sept 14, 1910 (August 31 was the departure date).

No, at the Ellis Island site. I am typing 'Margherita' for the first name and "De Santi" for the last name (the space between the De and Santi seems to make a difference).

Ellis Island has the wrong original manifest scanned with the name for a totally different ship.

Apologies, again! It seems I wrote down the date they sailed and not the date of arrival.

What town in Italy are they from? That could help with the surname.

You're more than welcome. I'm having a hard time making out the name also.DebiHarbuck wrote:Thank you, Carmine! That's the manifest.
