Ragusa

Post by baggio10 »

I am looking for more information on my Greatgrand mother Maria Ragusa. She was born in Palermo Sicily abt. 1861. She came to the US three different times. She lived in Gloversville NY. She dide sept 9 1948. I was wondering if there is anyway to find records of her in Palermo. I would like to find any records of her parents. Thank you.

Hi and Welcome to the Forum!
If she was born in the comune of Palermo (not a comune in the province of Palermo), her birth record is available on microfilm from the Family History Library.

Are theses your family pages on ancestry. com?
Fernandez/Pellerito Family Tree (06-24-2010)
Note: per 1900 census born 10 Nov 1858? Married abt 1880 in Italy? 3 children born in Italy?

Thank you

Your nearest Family History Center can order records for the comune of Palermo on microfilm.
The cost is about $5.50 mo (rent), you’ll need to go to the center to order & view them.
