Muliera

Post by jessahip »

Hello,

I am looking up my great grandmother's family and all I know is that she may have came from Italy when she was a little girl or she may have been born here in NYC. I have heard various stories. Anyway the name is Carmella Muliera, I cannot find any information on the family name. If anyone can find any info that would be much appreciated! I know that she lived in new york and then moved new jersey.

Thanks!

Now there are many variations on the name Muliera ... i know that it was once Mullara (spelled by mistake) also maybe Mugilera, or Muliero..... I know she also had family in Poughkeepsie she may have lived there as well. What can I do since she is such a hard person to search for?

Does it say anything about her parents on the ship record?? I find it hard to believe that two children would come by themselves...

the full name of Carmela's father, it was:
Michele Arcangelo MULIERE; I found the marriage act(#11 of 1882 year in Trivigno);
the spouses married the 4 june 1882; Michele Arcangelo was the son of Francesco MULIERE and Angela COSTANZA; Anna Antonia GUARINI was rhe daughter of Leonardo and of late Carmela CIANI

...most probably Michel Arcangelo MULIERE was born abt in 1860 because on the marriage act he declaring of to be 22 old!
here the marriage act:

http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/9933 ... ge1882.jpg

on ancestry.com it are a genealogic tree named " Maria Mulieri Giannini " owner "karlamaur" (nickname)

abt Michele Arcangelo MULIERE with this data:

Birth: Abt 1860 - Trivigno, Potenza, Basilicata, Italy
Parents: Francesco Antonio Muliere, Angela Costanza
