searching for family from limina sicily my understanding is both paternal grandparents from limina and greatgrandparents burried there i believe. also maternal grandmothers farher from chieti county, italy i believe his first name antonio surname dicamillo dob approx 1871. am ready to retire want info on family in either location. wife and i moving to italy next year to retire if we get dual citizenship.

grandfather carmelo thomas restifo, agatino restifo, pepe restifo came through ellis island late 1800 or early 1900. giovanni restifo their father and nunjiata chillemi their mom were born in limina italy, died limina italy, 1955 and 1970 respectively. antonio dicamillo and his mother were born in chieti county italy both came to america through ellis island and both died in washington, dc 7/12/1948 and 7/4/1915 respectively. thanks for your help and interest. tom restifo

after further review my grandfathers name was toma carmelo restifo when i try to serch that way on ellis island site i can only find him by going through all restifo's till last page. also he does not list limina as home although born there. lists amall town beginning with letter r any help you could be would be greatly appreciated. tom testifo

Hi my name is Chris Restifo. I am the GGS of Giuseppe Restifo from Limina. Married to Carmella Farrara, brother of Phillipo. Sons, Phillipo, Sebastian, Agatino. Daughters, Giovanna and Nancy Giuseppe was born in 1872 came to America with his family and settled in Sherburne , NY. Carmella returned to Limina because of poor health and died and is buried in Limina. I am told I still have relatives there.
