I really need some help in finding our family. This is for my mom what had been adopted by people who died when she was young and left her broke and empty inside... Throught the past 8 years we have gotten some information on her mothers side. her mom has since passed we did contact her but she refused to get involved with us.. Here are the facts
My Grandmother is 100% Sicilian discent her name was Josephine Santangelo her brothers and sisters were all born in New Jersey. (new brunswick area) Her parents came over to Elise Island in early 1900 from Prov di Salerno Goega Italy . Her dads name was Lawrence (Lorenzo) Santangelo born 11/13/1893 and her mothers name was Antonia Santangelo (maiden name DiAgosino) born 1897. Josephines grandparents names were Cosimo Santangelo and mother was Saveria Santangelo (Maiden name was Dangela) there were 7 ? Santangelo kids born -Bessie-1917,Jacob-1914, thomas-1919 (also called Gaetano) Sarah-1925, Frank-1928, Jennie-1929-1930, and of coarse Josephine- 1921 or 1922. Most of the kids have passed now..
