Help needed please

Im trying to locate where my g.grandparents lived, Leopoldo Giovanni Poli and Carolina Vanni,they had 2 sons that moved to the U.k. G. grandparents got married approx 1884, Ive tried ancestory, family search snd few a few other sites but don't know where else to look. Many thanks

Is there a chance that they are on the 1911 census. It gives place of birth.

Yes grandads on 1911 census. i was so looking forward to reading it until it says place of birth.... Italy also it says the same for his brother

Can you give us any of the Childrens names, to Leopoldo and Carolina?

leopoldo was a farmer, Dario 1911 census,he's 21, Gesualdo 1901 he's 16,

Any chance Carolina had a brother or other relative named Cesare who also came to the UK?

If he is a relative, then the naturalization documents would likely give his place of birth and therefore Carolina's as well.

Searching incoming UK passenger lists turns up many, many, Poli's including a "D Poli" and a "G Poli". I cannot view the records because I do not have international Ancestry . com access. Perhaps someone else can take a look, or you can sign up for a free trial period...
