Hi,

My great grandparents were Filippo Persighetti and Maria Christina Castrucci.

Are you related in any way?

Forgive me if I replied to this long ago. My husband's mother's family is from Alvito, and they are named Pizzuti and Persichetti, and have other relatives named Castrucci.

There is a book written by Giorgio Paolo Mattia Castrucci written in 1863 about the history of the Dukedom of Alvito during the Napoli reign and another by Ferdinando Pistilli about the History of learning and literature in the cityof Alivito on the Liri and Fibreno rivers written in 1798. Obviously names in Alivito will be mentioned and perhaps point the way toward your research objectives. Peter

Thank you, Peter. I found copies of these online, but nothing in English, and Italian is not one of the languages I've studied.

Has anyone translated them -- especially the first? Thanks!

They are books that can either be located in the Alvito library (?) or purchased from an antiquarian bookstore; the closest one to you is in Rome at ERRE LIBRI,Via Francesco Saverio Solari 16,00149, Roma telephone (06)557-6887. If you might want to look for something specific youmight ask the book dearler if he can go thru the book, if available, to answer any question you might have or fax you a copy of any relevant page which works sometimes if they come across what your seeking. You might want to purchase the book for your library as well for your library! Peter
