Francesco Andolina (Santa Croce Camerina, Sicilia, Italy)

Looking for more information my great grandfather, Francesco Andolina. The information I have is that he was born in Santa Croce Camerina in 1882 and emigrated to the United States via Palermo in 1905. I would love to learn some more information about siblings, parents, etc. Any help is appreciated.

Considering that at the time of his 1905 arrival Francesco stated he was going to Paterson NJ to join his brother in law Spinella Mariano, then is it possible that Mariano's wife Ermelinda Andolina was Francesco's sister?

4 december 1910:

Andolina Ermelinda, age 34, married, from Santa Croce Camerina, leaving in S. Croce her father Andolina Antonino (via San Isidoro) to Paterson NJ to join her husband Spinella Mariano.
She was travelling with her daughter Rosa Spinella age 1, with her mother in law Raimondo Rosalia (maiden name) , age 57, widow and with her sisters in law Spinella Gaetana age 14 and Antonina age 10

Andolina G. Battista (Giovanni Battista), age 18, barber, from Santa Croce joining his brother Francesco living in Paterson NJ 208 Market street (passage was payed by Francesco)... Giovanni Battista stated he was leaving in Italy his father Salv. (Salvatore) Andolina, so Ermelinda wasn't Francesco's sister?

It almost looks as if it lists only the name "Andolina" for the father's name?

The handwriting is "her father Andolina" and on the line below (the same statement for her daughter) the continuation of the phrase "Antonino - Via San Isidoro"
Via san Isidoro is the address of Antonino Andolina, Saint Isidore Street

Have you requested Francesco's death act? Usually parents's names are listed...

Or I would advice you to contact your nearest Family History Center and ask them to rent the microfilm of the births acts in Santa Croce Camerina:

Having Francesco's correct birth date it would be easy for you to find his birth act. the birth act will show his parents's names , their occupations, the address of the birth...

I ordered a copy of the birth record, so we will see what it shows. I believe his wife, my great grandmother was from the same area. I believe her name was Maria (Mary) Iozzia. Any information on her family would be helpful, as I haven't been able to find much. Thanks.
