Macera Family

Post by FrankM87 »

I've been trying to research my family for 10 years. I've not gotten any further then my great grandfather. All I have is his name, Pasco Macera. I know he came over from italy, but none of my family know when. I know he had a son my grandfather, Frank H Macera sr, and my father Frank Macera jr. Lisa Macera, kennith Macera, and Paul macera. My father had me, and my brother, Frank and Michael macera. I'm at a loss where to go next, does anyone have any advice or during their research come across any Pasco maceras?

I'm 23 now, my son is 15 months...I promise his mother, after he was a year old, if I hadn't found anything, I would seek help. She gave me an extra 3 months. :(

A few quick questions:

1) Where was Frank Sr. born, in the US or in Italy?

2) Where did the family reside in the US?

3) Approximately when was Frank Sr. born?

4) Do you know the name of Pasco's (more likely, Pasquale) wife?

There are many Pasquale Macera manifests available; it is necessary to figure out which one may be your ancestor. The above info will help in that regard.

Frank sr. was born in scuituite rhode island, born in the us. They resided on a pig farm in scuituite rhode island, that was owned at one time by pasco macera, my great grandfather. My grandfather is in his 70s. So 1941-1938. My grandfather currently resides in coventry if thats of any help. The farm is on burnt hill road I believe. Hard to tell the street signs keep getting stolen by kids. Believe his wife was giovina macera, she died in 2004 and lived on pippin orchard road.

The family has never called him anything but pasco. I've been told they started pasvina farm on pippin orchard road. The property is now owned by my uncle dicky macera.

sanj...that my great grandma...I'd like to go back further, learn about all the relatives that maybe in italy. Thank you sanj now I got a clue to go further with. The family never left the obit for my great grandma for me.

out of curiosity, how much do you charge on your site? I am not very rich, but I really wanna trace the family back to the very beginning, to even a family crest if there is one.

If you wish trace abt the ancestor's families back, you can try all civil records of Castelnuovo Parano by LDS ( you can order the microfilms in the LDS center near or in your town, just for a little fee):
"Registri dello stato civile di Castelnuovo Parano (Frosinone), 1820-1905 Castelnuovo Parano (Frosinone). Ufficio dello stato civile"
Births, deaths, marriages, miscellaneous documents, marriage documents.
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/library ... +Castelnuo++

for Vairano Patenora:
Registri dello stato civile di Vairano Patenora (Caserta), 1809-1928 "Vairano Patenora (Caserta). Ufficio dello stato civile"
Births, banns, marriages, deaths, marriage documents, miscellaneous documents, citizenship records, supplements from Vairano Patenora, Caserta, Italy. Some years may be missing or out of order.
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/library ... +Vairano+P++

also for Vairano Patenora, it are on line the civil records in "Caserta, Campania, Italy, Civil Registration Records, 1862-1939
Caserta, Campania, Italia: Registri di stato civile, 1862-1939", by ancestry.com (by pay subscription), the civil records from 1866 to 1910...

both are the better, easy and not expensive way for to make a complete genealogic tree...

all the best,
