Trying to find my grandfather's travel to America from southeast Naples to Philadelphia PA
His name was Alexander Gioiella (like the town) Although my mother's birth certificate actually says Giarello (American Translation?) The ship he was on was the Calabelera (not sure of the spelling)departed in 1918.

That research was fantastic! Thanks for your time. You made our whole family happy. I see my Grandfather was born in 1877 in Volturara. I checked the phone book and there is a Carmela Gioiella residing there. Also in surrounding provinces near Napoli there are approx. 50 Gioiellas there. Cousins I presume.
