Desrerately looking for ORLINDO PAGANO or Family. pow 1944

Hello,
I have found this web site whilst looking on behalf of my sister in law who is wanting to find her Father.
Her mother lived in Sutton Veny, Wiltshire during WW2. she met An Italian we believe was a UK resident at the time. but due to the war he was imprisoned at Codford camp Warminster.
As the subject heading says his name was Orlindo Pagano. My sister in law did not know who her Father was until years later, and has never met or heard from him. She is hoping there may be a chance he is still around.
He did leave an address which was in Rome. (Via Vespasiano). but it now seems to be a building containing various businesses.
It is very hard to find lists of prisoners from that time as a lot of information seems to have been destroyed during bombing.
My mother and sister in law did go to Italy for a holiday about 15 years ago but had no luck with their search.
I am hoping I can get a little bit of luck here.

Well, at this point you need to write to Rome population record office, in order to have a resident certificate of Orlindo Pagano, who lived in Via Vesapasiano in Rome around 1940's, this could be a good starting point. I hope it helps, let us know, bye Riccardo
