Are you looking for an Italian surname? Do you need more information about your family heritage?
This is the right place to start your genealogy search.
In this record, it lists the parents as Charles and Jennie, emmigrated in 1912.
I don't know what the names would be in Italian, to find them on Ellis Island site.
Now someone needs to find the emmigration recotrd.

thanks Biff,
This seems to be a hard one, I checked the Ellis Island site this morning and did not find anything, but now I will try the Calogero name.
I was wanting to follow up up the 1930 Census where the parents are Charles and Jennie Federico.
I will look now at the Ellis Island with the new information.
Wow! Jennie is Giovanna.
Thanks
Dave

Keep in mind that the Mary on the 1930 census might not be your aunt since the year of birth is about 1914 not 1917. We need to find her on another census or locate another document to verify her parents' names.

I agree.
Mary Ann Federico, is currently Mary Ann Benetti. Born Nov 2, 1917.
I have verified that this is her birth date, on several public documents on Ancestry.
When I saw the 1914 date on the 1930 Federal Census record, she was 16 and the oldest child. I assumed that she was wanting to be older than she was.
The 1940 Census is going to be released soon for Indexing. I can't wait unitil its done, for this line and many others.

A cousin of mine, just emailed me and told me and told me that there are 10-12 children in the family, that are included as brothers and sisters to Mary Ann Federico.
Icluding a set of twins. One of the twins was Assunta, who died in n a mental institution. Her twin was Elvira. There was also Sandy, Marion, Maryann, William (who died very young) and Dominic (or Gig).
I do hope someone on the Forum can help us.

Thanks a million "suanj", you are the greatest. You can find anything!!
Mary Ann has been slient about her parents' family. She would not talk about it, clam up and close the subject. She had a hard life.
Now with the help of Italian genealogy and its Seasoned members like "suanj", her grand children and great grandchildren can embrace their Italian roots.
The cousin I am working with, was named after one of the deceased children, She and her dad are excited to learn something about the Federico side of their family.
Thank you so much for finding out the place in Italy where they come from, so we can now begin research over there.
Mary Ann Federico, married a Americo Benetti. The Benetti's come from Cavalo, Fumane, Verona, Italy. Just down the mountain from where you live.
