Moses Pate from Belmonte Calabro, Cosenza, Italy

Hi. I'm helping a friend, Agidio Pate, and his wife look for evidence of when Agidio's father immigrated to NYC from Italy. He was born in Italy on 30 Jan 1892. The story in the familly is that he immigrated with his father, Francesco Pate, in 1908, when he was 16. He lived in Manhattan until 1932-34, when he moved to the Bronx with his wife and family which is where he died. The family thinks he passed threough Ellis Island but we can't find him under the name "Pate," or possible misspellings/misswritings like "Pale" "Pali" "Poli" "Pole," etc.

If anyone would be able to help us find his entry on a ships' manilfest, we would be grateful.

Hi, again. Would anyone mind helping me a bit to read some of the manifest found above? I'm including one of the parts I'm having trouble with because I copied the part into an image editor. I bumped up the contrast and sharpened the image in the hope that I could read it but I still can't. I tried looking through all the comuni in Cosenza for a name that resembles it but I drew a blank there too. It can be seen here:

Francesco was born in Amantea, Cosenza province. 8.5 km from Belmonte Calabro

Hi. Moses Pate was my grandfather, and Agidio is my Uncle Gigi. My father, Eugene, is Gigi's brother. There other siblings were Frank Pate, Louis Pate, Lee Pate (sister), and Rose Pate. Uncle Lou has a daughter named Karen Brelin who has researched a lot of the ancestry of Moses and Mary Pate, his late wife. She has the manifest information for when both they both passed through Ellis Island. If you would like to get in touch with her, give me your contact details and I will pass them along.
