You may want to look at records which show the spelling of the surname as Altomare and Altamari and other variations. This is a common surname in Belsito and one that is often mis spelled on records.
As vj said, if you can provide a few more details about your great grandmother there is a possibly the records can be found on the Cosenza Archive website. Civil records were in effect during 1890 so although Church records may have been destroyed there should be civil records available.
I have also traced my maternal roots to Belsito - make sure you check the neighbouring towns such as Malito!
