Thank you, as always, Tessa.

I also want you to know, thanks to your post to another question, that I am now reading
Imported Americans which I 'found' through inter-library loan. It has been a remarkable reading-journey!

I am sorry but I cannot find an email address at the site for which you sent the link? What am I not seeing?

Thanks again, Tessa,

Thanks again, Tessa,

My apologies...I assumed it was there (usually is... :-( )

Maybe this will help...
The Comune has an online request form for Certificates and Documents here:
http://www.comune.brindisimontagna.pz.i ... dex&meid=5

I'll continue to look for an email address, if there is one! :-)
Edit: All I could find was a fax number on this site:
http://www.comuni-italiani.it/076/014/amm.html

ALSO - glad you are finding the book informative, if not surprising!

My request is going out today via snail-mail with my own email included in the heading :-)

The online requests appear to be for current records, not ones from the 1800s!

I've done my requests this way, as well. I received email responses when there was no email listed on their comune site... :D

That's what I thought, but I also thought it would be a "way in" :)
